White Peony (Bai Mudan)
Bai Mudan, literally translates to White Peony. Some say the appearance of the tea upon steeping resembles that of Peony petals, hence the name.
Harvested in springtime in the Fujian Province of China, carefully plucked with two leaves and a bud and naturally withered in the sun, Bai Mudan is considered a “New Style” tea.
Mild, yet more robust than Silver Needles, it’s fresh floral notes and clean finish are perfect for any time of the day or night. Sweet and fruity, this splendid tea needs no accompaniment yet pairs perfectly with most anything.
Floral and mellow, slightly sweet and fruity. Zero bitterness.
