Possibly one of the very first black teas ever produced and celebrated in China for centuries, Lapsang Souchong is a bold, smoked tea. Dried over burning pine wood, pan-fired, hand rolled, pressed, heaped in wood barrels to oxidize, and finally, hung over smoldering pine embers to further enrich its distinctive smoky flavor. It's almost an inconceivably laborious process Lapsang Souchong endures before it's ready for market.... but it's worth it. Our Lapsang Souchong is a from Taiwan and is a bit bolder than a Chinese Lapsang Souchong. If you’re a smoked tea enthusiast, this one is a must-have! If you haven’t tried a smoked tea yet… then get on with it… you don’t know what you’re missing!!
Bold with an elegant smokiness, notes of pine, smooth and slightly sweet. No bitterness.
